Like Father, Like Son: Viking Hats

My husband and I have been together for five years now, and in all that time, I’ve only knitted him one thing- a scarf. It’s not that I didn’t want to knit anything else for him. He’s just not a knit-wearing kind of guy. That is, until I stumbled across this wonderful, free pattern for a Viking hat on Chile con Yarne. A friend of ours commissioned me to knit one for her nephew for Christmas, and since I had plenty of leftover yarn, I jumped at the chance to make something for both my husband and my son. Aren’t they the cutest manliest father-son duo you’ve ever seen!?

Lex truly seems to love his hat. He kept taking it from me and indicating that he wanted to put it on. He especially likes the horns (of course!). I, for one, am very excited to be able to cross a project off of my list!

Vinnie’s hat was done about a month ago. He has worn it proudly and received many compliments. 🙂 Now I just need one, and we’ll be quite the Viking family!

Thanks for reading! Far vel and goodbye!
